Why Do I Need a Referral?
In compliance with provincial guidelines, to be seen by a medical specialist, such as a dermatologist, patients are required to be referred by their primary care provider (eg. family physician or qualified nurse practitioner licenced to practice in Canada). We would be pleased to schedule an appointment for you once we have received your referral.
Examples of Medical Skin Concerns Include: Acne, Rosacea, Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Excessive Sweating, Mole Checks and Skin Cancer
Your referral will be triaged and scheduled on the first available appointment based on the medical urgency of your condition. As part of your consultation, your referring physician will receive a formal letter outlining your diagnosis and any treatment recommendations, so that your medical records are updated and complete.
